Euroguard is the battalion that typically includes our Knights from the European time zones, although some hail from as far as central Asia, and location is not a requirement for membership.

Euroguard has traditionally been the graveyard shift, awake while America sleeps, safeguarding the Knights when only we are able to.

Those who wish to be the shield that guards the Knights in the small hours. From the Atlantic coast in the West to the Ural River in the East, from the Mediterranean in the South to the Arctic waters in the North.

The Euroguard are a battalion for all those living on the European continent and its surrounding islands. They work to protect our Order when the ANZAC troops have already gone to bed and when our North-American brethren have yet to wake up.

During [[the Button]] the IRC channel used to coordinate Knight efforts was often spammed with lyrics of songs. Sometimes the lyrics changed to be button themed. The [[Necromancer]] [[Abra]] was opposed to this spam as it cluttered the channel with unimportant messages so he banned song lyrics. This led to the group of Knights to form a "battalion" called the Bardtards. Overtime the bards would become an official subdivision of the first the [[Stewards]] then the [[Heralds]].

Deoplo first found out about the [[April Knights]] during [[Place]] in 2017, however he did not join the Knights until [[equence]] in 2019. Deoplo initially joined the [[Grey Wardens]], and later in 2021 transferred to [[ANZAC]].

Nicolaikay would return to the April Knights in 2023. He would serve briefly as First Builder under Grandmaster [[LadyVulcan]] but would clash with other members of the Councils. His comments were harsh enough to trigger a trial. [[Szeraax]] would lead the prosecution and Ghostise would lead the defense. The issue was settled and Nicolaikay left the April Knights.

Development Division of the [[April Knights]]. Responsible for anything requiring code or infrastructure.

===History===

Originally, the Arcaenum was a Battalion perpetually led by the [[Necromancer]] [[Abra]]. This was a policy that made sense up until the 2019 event, [[Sequence]]. After the events leading to Abra's Reddit account being banned, leadership worked to re-evaluate tactics and strategies.

After the [[2019 Election]], [[Grandmaster]] [[Gryph667]] introduced the Mutare Magia Act to amend the Constitution and convert the Arcaenum into a Division and create the Archmage rank and title as the Upper Council member and Arcaenum leader. The group has operated in this format from that point to the present.
