Heralds

The Workshop

The Workshop is the art, histories, and documentation division of the April Knights. Its responsibilities include: fostering and creating April Knight (AK) related art, memes, poetry, music, etc., preserving and recording AK history and lore, and maintaining document storage to preserve it for future knights.

It is headed by the First Herald, who has a seat on the Upper Council and reports directly to the Grandmaster.

Membership

While any knight, or guest for that matter, is welcomed and encouraged to make art and memes, document history, or write lore; joining the Heralds gives one a semi-private place to find fellow knights to collaborate with or share unfinished work and receive advice.

Currently the Workshop is welcoming any knight to become a Herald by simply clicking the button in #herald-sign-up without any formal application process.

Organization

The Workshop is broken into three primary categories: art, history, and documentation.

Heralds

General catch-all bucket for all members of the Workshop. Their primary focus is creation; art, memes, works of fiction, songs, poetry, etc.

Historians

The Historians are dedicated to finding, recording, and preserving our history. They’re primary focus is to finish recording old events in The Chronicle and to write about new events as they happen. They will be led by the Chronicler. As they will have read access to archived channels, membership is at the discretion of the Chronicler and the First Herald.

Archivists

This small group will be in charge of cleaning up and maintaining the order of our file storage. They may be called on to upload art and other documents from Reddit or the Discord. They will be led by the Scribe. As this role may involve sensitive documents, membership is at the discretion of the Scribe and the First Herald.

Bardguards

A bonus secretive fourth group of poets and songwriters. This is an exclusive cool kids club and membership is by invite only.
