Role

A captain is an officer rank in battalions. A captain is either a retired commander, or a knight considered worthy of being a commander. They, along with commanders, are eligible for election to Grandmaster. A battalion may have any number of captions.

The role was initially created to promote knights who had served for many years and now many captains act as the 2nd in command to their commanders.
